The shirt collar is a fundamental detail that gives a certain style and makes us unique.
Most of the men don’t pay much attention to it: in fact, not everybody knows that there are different types of shirt collar, but it's good to address this problem and know which will best suit to the occasion and to our own face.
The Korean collar, according to the classic rules of style is not part of the formal wardrobe but rather suits to informal outfits. It gives, indeed, a trendy, fresh and cheeky look. It is a shirt collar that does not have reversible tips but can be equipped with a buttoning.
The button-down collar is characterized by the tips fixed to the jacket by means of two little buttons. It is usually considered suitable for a casual or informal style or particularly recommended for formal business clothing. It is preferable not to wear this shirt collar with ties, or at most with ties with a small knot.
The ceremony collar is obviously the most suitable for formal and elegant outfits. It gives a unique class and it is often matched with bow tie and used with tails and tight.
The French collar is characterized by being a shirt collar with a large degree of openness of the tips. It is more suited to those who have a long face and to the most voluminous tie knots.
The Italian neck, instead, has narrow and triangular tips pointed downwards. It is an ideal collar for any occasion, formal and informal. It adapts to any type of tie but it can also do without it. It slims the face and therefore it is suitable for those with wide or strong face.
In short, you can really indulge, but to be sure we can always rely on the classic Italian collar!
